Hacked!

I thought I was too clever to get hacked, so I guess this was a long time coming.

Just to warn you, if you search google for the eu armory, the current top sponsored link is a pfishing site. You should not get a battle net login screen and you do not need to log in to check the armory. I thought it was a little odd, but fell for it anyway.

Merlot's armory page now shows a character with no gear equipped except badge gear (which of course can't be vendored). As a nine-character gear horder, I have just handed over close to 25k of gold and bank-fulls of herbs, ore and leather to the gold-selling bastards.

An authenticator has been added to my account so I can't even log in to start repairing the damage.

The pfishing site is now on Mozilla's blocked list, but it came too late for me. Boy, do I feel stupid now. Don't get caught, check the links first.

Oh no! That sucks, since there is an authenticator on it, they'll probably make you fax in the form and a photocopy of ID. Good luck!

Oh man, that blows. I wish you luck in getting your account back and your gear restored.

Sucks to have this happen to you or anyone else. We are all aware of authenticators or having a account as such and they been out like going on 2 years now by Blizzard. So it's not like you never knew the value of getting one earlier.

However it still sucks to be hacked, so hope you get your stuff restored in some way.

Not good :(

Best of luck getting into the call queue. I had a problem with a character transfer that stalled on Blizzards end and I got charged for it even though the transfer never went through. 2 weeks to get a response by mail and I couldn't get into the call queue once. When I got the response finally they didn't answer my question. They do seem to work better with compromised accounts though so best of luck!

Ouch, that sucks.

My brother got hacked some years back, took about two weeks but he got most of his stuff back.

Well... that was sure stupid. Who in thier right mind blogs about wow and is dumb enough to fall for a phishing site? I mean.. check the link!?
You sir.. have been unbookmarked.
PS The verification word was "Pitti" and i have none of that for you.

The US armory has the same problem too.

I very *nearly* fell for it too, but was too lazy/tired at the time to be bothered with the login. Yay for slothery!

Sucks... and @HAHAHA - you won't be missed with that type of attitude.

I'm shocked that the hackers added an Authenticator. Makes me wonder how much harder it will be to get the account back.

I fail to see how blogging should make someone immune to mistakes?

PS. Whats Pitti?
