Can we have wings?

Finally something worth blogging about. A new beta build is out and it includes some very interesting new talents in early discipline to get our shadowy juices flowing. (Don't linger on that metaphor too long.)
Evangelism revamped — you have a 100% chance when you Smite and a 40% chance when you Mind Flay to gain Evangelism. Stacks up to 5 times. Lasts for 15 sec. Evangelism (Smite ) — increasing the damage done by your Smite, Holy Fire, and Penance spells by 2/4% and reduces the mana cost of those spells by 3/6%. Dark Evangelism (Mind Flay) — increases the damage done by your periodic shadow spells by 1/2%.
Archangel revamped — consumes your Evangelism effects, causing an effect depending what form you are in. Archangel (Caster) — instantly restores 3% of your total mana and increases your healing done by 3% for each stack. Dark Archangel (Shadowform) - instantly restores 3% of your total mana and increases your shadow damage done by 3% for each stack.
This is seriously cool shit. This is what makes me want to play a shadow priest. I know it's just words on the screen right now, but these are powerful, evocative words. This is crack for roleplayers. I don't care about the numbers, I just want WINGS.

And paladins, don't give me none of that avenging wrath snowflake crap. I'll swap you the wings for prayer of mending (it's basically a healing boomerang, you were totally robbed to start with).

Oh, and weirdly, mind flay is now five seconds long. I have no clue what that is all about. I might get around to thinking about it. Then again, I might not. Who cares, I am a DARK ARCHANGEL.

Hmm, maybe they could try saying that out loud a while and clip it to DARK ANGEL.

I AM A DARK ANGEL.

Oh god, it's like a drug.

It certainly makes for a more dynamic nature to the gameplay, an extra cooldown to juggle i.e. when do we use Archangel. Be interesting to see the duration of the buff (+15% shadow dmg is nice) and if it is possible to overlap it with Evangelism procs. I reckon there will be an internal cooldown on Evangelism gaining stacks, otherwise you could get +15% shadow dmg from consuming it and then start building up to +10% on your DoTs.

I'm hoping the MF 5 seconds is a bug, it's way too long a cast for PVE and PVP to channel. It would completely trivialize the rotation if it stayed at 5 seconds....get DoTs up, MB, MF (for 5s) that leaves you with 5.5s for MB to come off CD. If you need a DoT refresh are you looking at using Mind Spike as a filler? 2x Mind Spike reduces the cast time of MB by 50% so it could be an option.

They still haven't addressed the lack of a PVE tree without speccing into PVP talents within shadow. Try speccing out a raiding spec, we are still one of the few specs that has to drop points in all T1 talents to progress to the end of the tree. We have to max out Veiled Shadows (we only use one fiend per fight), Imp MB (which we don't need either especially if MF is 5s long) and then take Phantasm in order to reach Dispersion. They are the PVP talents with a slight PVE flavour.

Quiet happy with the changes overall though, just want 2 more things and I am content!
- Moving Inner Fire to T1 Disc, we can only get 2/3 :(
- SW:D and how it fits into our rotation!

I want wings. If we have wings we can do any work in just seconds just like a bird. So I need an answer that can we have a wings.

I like these wings! I have been utterly unaware (is that a word even?) of these cataclysm things, havent been playing at all for months now but just read some stuff and it sounds so cool. It appears ill have to get myself a copy when this glorious wingy epic expansion comes into stores!

I'm still hoping they do another pass on the shadow tree. The way it is at the moment you need to take hit based on spirit and improved fade to get down the tree to the juicy dps talents.

Its still quite broken imo.

Also, am I the only one who thinks dispersion should be base. Think about it, Shadow Priests NEED it, its not a great end tree talent because having it in the tree infers that you have a choice to take it when really there isn't the option not to if you dont want to run into serious mana issues. Of course a reduced cooldown on your pet will help but not all fights are suitable to use it without it being killed and defeating the purpose, leaving you with no mana and a pet on CD.

My idea, disperse base, now last point in the tree:

Improved Mind Flay
A seperate button for imp mind flay which allows you to mind flay 2 targets at once. You channel your first target, target your second and mind flay again creating a second one. If MF was a 5 sec channel it would be great to balance two mind flays with your dots.

OR:

DOT HOP

If your target dies with your dots having 50% time left on them, they instantly jump to the next target within 3-5 yards with full dot refresh instantly getting rid of some ramp up time, leaving you to mind flay / spike / and Blast to your hearts content :)
