Weapons updated

I've added two new items to the weapons for shadow priests post:

Both of these drop in heroic magister's terrace, which explains why I haven't come across them in person but doesn't excuse the horrendous oversight. Nice, aren't they?

The mace drops of Kael'thas himself. Given how much trouble it is to get to him, I'd be weary of pinning my hopes too hard on it dropping. In an instance where you're dead weight if you can't crowd control, I doubt I'll be seeing him any time soon.

But the dagger drops off the far more accessibly Selin Fireheart. The competition will be a little stronger, and the reward is a little paler, but it wouldn't be too much trouble to put this boss, the first in Magister's, on farm just for the weapon.

Get in there and try it. Everyone loves a shadow priest once they realize how great mind control is in there. Just keep in mind that glaive throw is aoe. It's a good thing my friends don't mind me pulling a million groups and wiping us. O_O

Took me a while to find the gear post you were talking about, wtb a link in the body of the post. Also one of your item links is a wowhead one and the other is to wowdb, so the latter doesn't have a tooltip. Should probably be http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34611 ?

I've run quite a bit of mgt with shadow priests, as mentioned above MC is pretty fantastic for some of those humanoid packs, and really, CC isn't as big a requirement as it's made out to be. We've done it a few times with MC as the sole CC (resto druid, prot war, enh shaman, ret pally, spriest) and it's been very successful. Even more so with a prot paladin tanking!

And I could be wrong but I thought I remembered you talking about downing Akil'zon - where's the love for Amani Punisher?

Thanks chronic, you're right on both counts and I've fixed those mistakes in the post.

I haven't included any weapons beyone Prince because the post is really focused on gearing up a shadow priest for raiding. I had to draw the line somewhere and thought Kara and heroics were accessible enough to most people now. I suppose you could argue the same for Zul'Aman but I chose not to.

I seem to be the only person who thinks mind control is shit in magister's. Even spell capped, it never lasted the full duration and I remember a lot of aoe damage flying around breaking the channel. I suppose in the interest of scientific research I could venture back in...

I don't know, everyone keeps telling ME Mind Control is great in there too, but I haven't had a chance to rnu in to try it out.

On the other hand... while I'd been drooling over hoping to get teh Cudgel, I've changed my mind.

The Merciless Gladiator Spellblade is going to available for honor soon (like, after June 24th) and I'm hungrily grinding honor for the 25k I'll need. That sucka is awesome.
